Back in the very very early days, there was a bug with hostility and town portals where you could click hostile the instant you entered a portal in town, become hostil, and still go through the portal. I told some of my friends about it and they practiced it to perfection with the intention of partying with someone, getting loot permission, and killing them by means of the bug. Friend A had a necro (with Ume's, very rare for the time) and friend B had a barb that was gonna make the kill. They got it all set up but the barb hostiled the target, made it through the portal, did a fast ww, and killed the necro (his friend) It was then that they realized that they hadn't given each other loot, and the necro lost all his gear.
